Oz Star Caravans Warranty Disclaimers, Limitations, and Exclusions

1. Warranty Disclaimer

This Limited Warranty is the sole express warranty provided by Oz Star Caravans. No additional warranties extend beyond what is described here, except as required under Australian Consumer Law. Only Oz Star Caravans may modify this warranty. This Limited Warranty represents the final and exclusive agreement and statement of warranty terms. This warranty grants specific rights, and you may have additional rights under Australian Consumer Law.


For Oz Star Caravans, the warranty period is 12 months.


2. Duration Limitation

Any warranty implied by law, including implied warranties of fitness for a specific purpose or merchantability, is limited to the duration of this Limited Warranty.



3. Excluded Components

This Limited Warranty does not cover certain parts, including but not limited to expendable items such as wheel bearings, wheel alignment, bulbs, filters, tires, and drainage hoses.



4. Owner Responsibilities

To maintain your rights under this Limited Warranty, you must practise reasonable care and follow the preventative maintenance schedule and proper storage guidelines. Cease using the product immediately if a failure or damage occurs, and have it inspected at an authorised Oz Star Caravans outlet before further use.



5. Wear and Tear and Neglect

Damage resulting from normal ageing, wear and tear, or neglect is not covered. The following are examples of damage not considered defects and thus not covered:

a) Tyres punctured by external objects.

b) Undercarriage damage from rocks or other debris.

c) Natural discoloration due to UV exposure.


6. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage, malfunctions, or failures due to misuse, neglect, or abuse, including:


a) Failure to perform required maintenance.

b) Misuse, modifications, unauthorised attachments, or improper servicing.

c) Damage to stabiliser legs or jockey wheels due to incorrect use or failure to raise before moving.

d) Tampering with manufacturer-installed safety devices.

e) Damage from improper storage, including moisture, corrosion, and rust.

f) Repairs by unauthorised parties during the warranty period.

g) Continued use of the product after an operational issue is identified.


Canvas Warranty

The canvas warranty period is 12 months from the purchase date. Certain components such as zippers, mesh, and poles are excluded. Similar limitations apply as detailed in the general warranty section.



Exclusions Summary

Items not covered by the warranty include:

  1. Rust
  2. Wheels and tyres
  3. Paint
  4. Travel covers and straps
  5. General consumables (e.g., bearings, brake pads)



Factory Seconds, Ex-Demonstration, and Damaged Goods

Factory Seconds, Ex-Demonstration and Damaged items are sold as-is, with no warranties, refunds, credits, or exchanges. Details regarding such items, including known defects, will be provided at the time of sale. Imperfections not initially detected are not grounds for a warranty claim.



Claims Validity
  1. Warranties are available only to the original purchaser.
  2. Warranties are valid only from the original purchase date.
  3. Only items sold as new are eligible.
  4. Warranties do not apply to Factory Seconds, Ex-Demonstration, or Damaged items, unless stated otherwise in writing.
  5. Items sold via auction are not covered.
  6. Warranties are non-transferable.
  7. Warranties become void if the item is sold to a third party.
  8. Items used in rental or hire schemes are excluded.
  9. Damage from unauthorised modifications or misuse is not covered.
  10. Warranty repairs must be performed by Oz Star Caravans or an authorised representative. Repairs by third parties require written approval from Oz Star Caravans.



Shipping Damage

Shipping damage should be reported to the carrier upon receipt. Hidden damage must be reported within 14 days of receipt, accompanied by photos and relevant evidence.



Warranty Claim Procedures
  1. All claims must be submitted online via the Oz Star Caravans Warranty Claim Form here.
  2. Claims must be lodged within the product's warranty period.
  3. The customer must provide sufficient evidence of the failure for the claim to be considered valid.
  4. Third-party repairs require prior written authorisation from Oz Star Caravans.
